Where Is Your Badass Leader?

bebadassalready2-3Here A LEADER, There A LEADER… Yes, I did just recently spend some Hangout time with my almost 2YO Granddaughter, singing Old MacDonald. Holy angel of all things perfect, I love that little Goddess! Anyway, the tune was on my mind today, as I slid into the topic of today’s post: finding your inner leader. Here’s the thing… wanting to be good at leadership and all the amazing things that that energy can bring is not enough to make it happen. You must call to her with your voice, actions, and intention.

And, there are different flavors of leadership, more than you’ll find in your local Baskin Robbins ice cream store. You have choices, my friend! First, the key is to clarify your motivation to delve into the leader’s world and her “to do” list. Then you have to identify your “flavor” of leader. This is generally done by trial and error…but, it helps to know your Feminine and Biz types as Joy Balma so brilliantly presents in her best selling book, Rock Your Feminine Type to Rock Your Business. Take the Biz Type Quiz HERE.

You see, we all have a leader in us…somewhere. You sort of have to coax her out with some yummy bait. Yes, give her a reason to move to the forefront of your business- one that trumps all that fear, hesitation, and the blissful contentedness of your “just stay the same” world. Many women have to literally take a new picture of themselves in order to see the leader they can be. If that means putting on your power suit and red stilettos, do it! That’s just one flavor of leadership. For you, it might be a leather jacket and lots of cool jewelry…yeah, that’s more my style.  No matter what she looks like, she has a place in your business if you invite her. This is your opportunity to invent your leader, to create a powerful persona who will push your business, book project, or whatever you want to new levels!

Your LEADER helps with:

FINISHING PROJECTS (books, product-creation, biz plans)

BEING SEEN (Visibility)

Could you use some help in these areas? She may need rescuing.

What does she look, smell, sound like? Who is she really? Why should she come out and play? Do tell!

"I make no excuses for my diverse roles as a Rock Your Feminine Type Coach™ and Branding Expert, best-selling author, and crime thriller novelist. Yes, I do still chuckle a bit at the irony. I kick ass as a business transformer for badass women by day and kill off vulnerable fiction characters at night. What the hell, it makes for some interesting dreams. I believe that everyone should pursue their passions no matter how out there they seem to be. One of those pure heart-fluttering passions for me has always been writing. Since I did, indeed, chase my dream of being a writer, I've published two non-fiction books in the self-development genre and have another on its way, co-authored an international best seller, and have finally pushed my much-too-old-to-be-in-the-nest novel out the door and into the world. My whole world is empowering and I adore showing others how to live life unfiltered, whether I do that through the written word or my coaching work. I love my job!" ~Kellie “Ignite Your Ass” Rae

My leader is a badass who plays front and center. She’s a no bullshit kinda gal and sometimes has a hard time playing office politics. Getting ahead for the sake of getting ahead is not her gig. She’s calls it like she sees it. My leader is quick to assess a situation and she taps into her intuition for guidance. She can play hard ball with the best of them and make chocolate chip cookies. I also heard that my badass leader has a kick ass podcast and she’s taking that all the way to the freaking top 🙂

Spoken like a true leader, Peggy! Love your energy and your gutsiness! You are the well-rounded leader who pulls what she needs from the personality shelf.

    • Kellie Rae says:

All hail, Queen Peggy! I love all that you do! Would even eat your chocolate chip cookies…if you make them gluten-free. Yes, let’s play hard ball!
